Desalination
& Filtration
From large-scale fresh-water infrastructure to portable point-of-use filtration, the water portfolio is designed around one objective: safer, more dependable access to water.
Fresh water from difficult sources.
Desalination solutions are intended for seawater and other saline sources serving communities, islands, resorts, agriculture and industrial operations.
Coastal & island projects
For locations with access to seawater but limited, expensive or vulnerable conventional fresh-water supply.
Community resilience
Water infrastructure can support households, healthcare, tourism, food production and local economic development.
Energy + water planning
Desalination can be evaluated alongside dedicated generation when power and water independence are both project goals.
Fantastic Life Saving Straw
The Foundation for World Harmony and WE WORLD are introducing the Fantastic Life Saving Straw as a portable point-of-use filtration option for humanitarian, emergency, remote and household applications.
Its role in the water portfolio is different from large desalination infrastructure: it is designed for situations where a person needs a compact way to filter available water at the point of use.
- Portable and simple to carry.
- Intended for humanitarian and emergency distribution.
- Suitable for remote locations where centralized treatment is unavailable.
- Can complement larger Fresh Water Worldwide initiatives.
Testing information is available.
An available laboratory filter test report documents testing of the underlying straw product. Current production specifications, certifications, claims and intended-use guidance should be confirmed for each project or distribution program.
Before engineering starts
For desalination, we need source-water characteristics, target daily output, required water quality, project location, available power, discharge constraints and intended use.
Infrastructure where it works. Portable filtration where it is needed.
WE WORLD treats water as a core system. Atmospheric water, desalination and filtration can be evaluated separately or as parts of a larger resilience project.
